ADMIRALS SIGN LOCAL PROSPECT SCHENK
The West Sound Admirals, Proud members of the Western States Hockey league, have added another local prospect to the 2018-19 roster. Trevor Schenk has signed with West Sound for the upcoming WSHL season.
Schenk who played for the Seattle Junior Hockey Association over the past few years will stay at home and be an Admiral this season.
We asked General Manager Dave Daniello what he saw in Trevor "I saw Trevor play in Las Vegas and was impressed with his size. Then meeting him in person, I was even more impressed. I think once he adapts his play to the junior game he can be very successful. He is a good skater, and a solid player, who can play on both sides of the puck."
Daniello has slotted Trevor to be a forward initially. "I love the fact he has experience as both a forward and a defenseman. He seems very versatile and that will only help him and the team" added Daniello
Schenk was excited for his new opportunity.
I was born and raised here in Kitsap County" said Trevor. "And stepped on my first sheet of ice here in Bremerton at the age of 3 just after I was adopted." I've spent the recent four years in Seattle which I am so grateful for, and I welcome this opportunity to play competitive hockey right here in my hometown."
The Admirals continue to build a competitive squad for their inaugural season in the WSHL. For more information on the Admirals, To purchase tickets, or to become a Volunteer or BIllet family - Contact General Manager Dave Daniello at wsadmiralsgm@gmail.com or by calling 207-542-7899
