by Laura Cisneros

The Long Beach Bombers pulled out a win, four to two against the leagues number one team the El Paso Rhinos. The Bombers handed the Rhinos their first home loss all season while also ending their 25-game winning streak. Miroslav Rohlik (F) put the Bombers on the board during the first and later scored an empty netter giving him two goals in the game. The Rhinos who are very comfortable playing at home haven’t left their arena since February 18th feel short by only getting one goal passed Bombers goal tender Spencer Kozlowski. Kozlowski is the unofficial star from day one at the Thorne Cup after making 34 saves against the Rhinos.

"Of course getting such an honourable mention is nice but I'm more happy we got the win." Says Kozlowski, "It was very important for us to get the first win out of the way, especially against the top team in the league."

Ryan Gil (F) pitched in with three assists. Artem Korolev (F) and William Daigneault (F) also had goals in the game. The Bombers will face the Mustangs who also had a win at 2 p.m. The Rhinos will play the Blazers at 7 p.m. both teams looking for their first win of the finals.
