Bombers to Jets

by Bombers Staff

The Long Beach Bombers, and Bombers Hockey Group, Inc., have transferred management & operation of the club, as the 2019-2020 Western States Hockey League season approaches. The new-look Long Beach Jets will make their debut, this October, with veteran bench boss, Steve Shannon, at the helm. More information can be found at:

The Long Beach Bombers would like to thank President Ron White, and his wife, Rose, for their many years of supporting the club. White will continue in his role as WSHL Commissioner. Additionally, Gary Hendricks, long-time supporter and Governor of the Bombers, Teri Talluto, all of the former coaches, staff members, billet families, players (and their families), and fans!

In 2018-2019, the Bombers made their third-straight WSHL Thorne Cup Finals appearance, the longest streak of any WSHL club. The team also won its fourth-straight Western Division Championship. In 2016-2017 the Bombers recorded a league-best record of 46-5. Bombers alumni are currently playing collegiate and professional hockey throughout the world, and will always call Long Beach their second home. The BombSquad and Bombers Family is something that will always live on, and be cherished by many whom have been involved, over the years.

Head Coach & General Manager, Chris White, ends his 8-year tenure with a 223-133-15 career record, including a 126-46-10 record at the Tier-II Junior A level. He inherited an 18-win club,  and eventually took them to four consecutive division titles, while coaching players from 16 different countries. Coach White will now take his knowledge and experience into an advisor/agent role, with his newly-founded company, International Hockey Management.

THANK YOU, Bombers Family!
