Eagles Ink Trio of Former Ducks for 2018-2019 Season
The Northern Colorado Eagles are proud to announce the signings of 3 veteran forwards, Tyler Trombly, Elijah Kendall and J.J. Landers, for the 2018-2019 season.
Trombly hails from Huntsville, Alabama and is entering into his second season of junior hockey after a very successful rookie campaign with the Point Mallard Ducks of the NA3HL. The two-way forward led all rookies in scoring while also ranking 4th on the Mallards producing 17 goals and 25 assists for 42 points last season.
"I'm really ecstatic about the opportunity here with the Eagles. It's a true honor to be joining such an elite organization. I can't wait to get the season going and bring home a championship for Northern Colorado," said Trombly, excited to join the Northern Colorado Eagles.
"Tyler is a very skilled and hard working player. He competes every shift. He is the type of player that can create something out of nothing. I am excited to work with him and help him grow his game," said Head Coach and GM, Steve Haddon.
Kendall, a Parker, Colorado native, is welcomed back to his home state after a year playing in Point Mallard along side Trombly and Landers. The speedy forward enters his second season of junior hockey after chipping in 8 goals and 15 assists for 23 points last season, while also helping his team on the back end when needed.
"I am so pumped for the upcoming season with the Eagles. Being a Colorado guy is even better playing in a great organization in my home state. Thank you to Coach Haddon and all the staff for there trust and opportunity," said Kendall ready to get the season underway.
"Elijah is a player we have tracked for a few years and are excited for him to finally join the organization. His versatility is a big advantage for him and our group. His work ethic, speed and skill as well as his tenacious attitude all over the ice will be a nice addition to our group," said Head Coach and GM, Steve Haddon.
Landers also joins the Eagles organization with his former teammates after being the youngest on the Point Mallard Ducks squad to play junior hockey last season as a 2001 birth year. The Memphis, Tennessee native put up 5 points in 23 games while battling for ice as a young rookie.
"I am really looking forward to this upcoming season. Excited to be joining an organization that not only dreams of championship contention, but expects it," said Landers, ready to start the 2018-2019 campaign.
"JJ is player that is fearless and not afraid to go into the tough areas. I believe he is just scratching the surface. With opportunity and his work ethic, he can take his game to the next level," said Head Coach and GM, Steve Haddon.
The organization has a lot of work to do to be ready for September.
