Inlow Re-Signs With Junior Thunder
Inlow was originally signed at the deadline, for the Junior Thunders historic run to hoisting the Thorne Cup back in 2017. Although Tyler only appeared in the league minimum of 6 games prior to the play-offs, he managed an assist in limited time while also getting some experience in 6 play-off games that season.
“We knew Tyler at just 16 years old back in 2017 wasn’t going to make a huge impact during his limited time, but was hoping he would gain some valuable experience from the leaders on our team like Jack McClelland. I feel like it paid off, last season Tyler was one of our cocaptains and one of the bright spots on our roster,” commented coach Weingartner. Coach went on to say, “ Last year we wanted to give the local players a chance to play major minutes in all situations to help in their development, we are hoping that the experience they got along with bringing in some high end talent will help our teams success this year. We will be expecting big things out of Tyler this year and feel his work ethic and drive will put him among the top players in the league.”
Listed at 6’1” 165 lbs, Inlow can play all three forward positions and has been a regular on the point on the power play. Inlow who was off to a great start early in the season last year but ended up breaking his wrist in a game versus Casper. After missing a few weeks and playing with a modified cast he was able to score 11 goals and add 12 assists for 23 points in 45 games, while piling up 106 penalty minutes.
The skilled forward had this to say about his return to the Junior Thunder, “The high end facilities, including the Wichita Ice Center and Genesis Health Clubs in Wichita, provides the best place for me to continue to develop and grow my game. The coaching staff are top notch and will get me ready for the next level.”
