Mustangs add McAleer from Michigan
The Ogden Mustangs have added 2000-born forward Aidan McAleer for the 2018-19 season.
McAleer spent the past two seasons skating for Meijer AAA Hockey U16 and Fox Motors U15. He comes from a hockey hot bed, calling Lansing, Mich., home.
McAleer describes his style of play as a hard-working, physical forward who can put the puck in the net, as well as do the little things to help win hockey games.
“With a good mix of returners and new guys, I think we should have a very successful season, especially under the great coaching staff we have,” McAleer said. “I was attracted to play here because of the excellent coaching Coach Jake has to offer and all of the success he’s led past Mustang teams to. I’m very confident that this is going to be a great season. The fan base is awesome. Seeing a sold out arena always gets you going, especially in big games. The community here in Ogden has been overwhelming and has done a great job making this feel like home.”
McAleer stands at 5-feet-10-inches and 160 pounds. He’ll have another two seasons of junior hockey eligibility remaining after this one.
