Steamboat Wranglers Sign Richie Kaye

by Wranglers Staff

The Steamboat Wranglers have acquired Richie Kaye for the 2018-2019 season. Richie comes to Steamboat from Mt. Pleasant, SC, where he started playing hockey in elementary school with the Charleston Youth Hockey Association Junior Stingrays.  He moved up to the U16 AAA Washington Little Capitals, and then juniors with the Potomac Patriots Hockey in Northern Virginia, in the United States Premier Hockey League.

Richie also spent some time playing in the former RMJHL, mostly with the Aspen Leafs Junior Hockey Team. He remembers how exciting those games were at Howelsen Ice Arena, adding, “I’ve played Steamboat before, and I thought it was a cool town and an even better team to play hockey for.” Richie brings his southern charm and politeness to Steamboat, and we’re happy he is now a Wrangler!
