Steelheads, Ivanov Receives KHL Tryout Contract

Yegor Ivanov has received a tryout contract from the KHL's, HC Dinamo Minsk. The '96 born, Belarusian defender, joined the Idaho Jr. Steelheads midway through the 2014-15 season. In 19 games, Ivanov put up 2G-10A-12Pts and helped his team through a Thorne Cup Championship season when they defeated the El Paso Rhinos in the finals. 

Ivanov's track record will show that he started the first half of his 2014-15 season with the Janesville Jets of the NAHL but transitioned to the WSHL in the latter half. 

Ivanov will try to break the KHL threshold as fellow WSHL alumni, Chris Seto, did with the Kunlun Red Star. Seto debuted this past season and scored a goal for Kunlun.
