Showcase camp!

A few shots from the Valencia Flyers Showcase Camp at the Ice Station. The Flyers are entering the 2019-2020 with a new head coach in Shane McColgan. Of note, the only Western Division teams with a returning coach are the Ontario Avalanche and the San Diego Sabers, who acquired David Vychodil midway through last season—replacing Chris Slater.

DiMarino Back in Net For Flyers

"I'm thrilled to be coming back to Valencia for my last junior season; I have loved my time as a Flyer. I'm very happy to be able to say I play for such a great program from top to bottom. This season I'm coming in competing for a starting job and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to help the team win this year. Last season, when Coach Shane came toward the end of the year, he really helped solidify the coaching staff. Our team as a whole made a lot of progress when he came on board. I look forward to seeing continued progress under him as a Head Coach this season. I'm excited to play under him and learn from him."

McDonald Set for College Hockey

July 5, 2019

Vikings fans please join us in welcoming our ELEVENTH commitment of the 2019-20 season, Campbell McDonald! The Kelowna, BC native has spent his last two years playing for the Valencia Flyers in the WSHL where he tallied 7 goals and 12 assists in 36 games played over the 2018-19 season. McDonald was scouted out of the WSHL Las Vegas showcase where his tenacity and relentless forechecking ability caught the attention of our coaches. His offensive mind and two way play will be a huge asset to the Vikings roster as they look to make some waves in the coming season! When asked what made him choose Western, McDonald said, “Everything about Western seems like a perfect fit and it’ll be nice to play closer to home.” Viking Nation please make some noise and join us in welcoming Campbell to the University and to the team!
