Veteran Forward Ignatovich Returns for Final Season with Eagles
The Colorado Junior Eagles are proud to announce the signing and return of veteran forward, Tommy Ignatovich, for the 2018-2019 season. Ignatovich hails from Seattle, Washington and was acquired at the trade deadline this past season to help the Eagles make a push for the Thorne cup. Entering his 3rd season of junior hockey, Ignatovich has played in 85 games. The two-way forward has amassed 31 goals and 45 assists for 76 points. "I am extremely excited to come back to Northern Colorado for my last year of junior hockey. I'm also excited to have an opportunity at one more chance to win the Thorne Cup with the Eagles organization. I can't wait to get started," said Ignatovich, eager to start the 2018-2019 campaign.
The 5'9", 160-pound forward has also had success on the world stage. The past two seasons, Ignatovich has played for team Israel at the under-20 DIII World Junior Championships helping Israel capture a gold medal in 2017-18. In 9 games at the WJC-20 D3 level, Ignatovich has produced 6 goals and 4 assists for 10 points.
"Tommy is a player that will be very important to our leadership group coming back. He's a player that will be relied on heavily both on and off the ice. I am excited to have a full season to work with Tommy and help him achieve his goals," said Head Coach, Steve Haddon.
Ignatovich is the second signing announcement of the off-season. Stay tuned for more player signings and NCAA commitments as the off-season heats up. Want to play for the Colorado Junior Eagles?
