Wranglers Add to the Back End
Please join the Steamboat Wranglers organization in welcoming Rock Powell to the team.
Rock’s hometown is Littleton, Colo., where he grew up playing for the Foothills Hockey Association, and then the Evolution Elite. He’s a senior at Chatfield High School, with the Chatfield Chargers Ice Hockey team, but will be enrolling in Steamboat Springs High School this week, to join the Class of 2019.
Rock played in the 2017 National Championships in Frisco, Texas, in the Midget Minor AA division, taking 3rd.
He’s been to Steamboat many times, for hockey tournaments over the years, and regrets not getting to ski Steamboat! Rock writes, “I’ve always played against a Steamboat team. Now it’s time to wear the Steamboat jersey and play for the Wranglers.”
He also remembers the great fans who pack the stands at Howelsen Ice Complex. “The fan base is so intimidating. Now I hope they’ll be cheering me on in a Wrangler jersey!”
Welcome to the Wranglers, Rock.
