Wranglers sign Jordan Belley
Jordan Belley is the first player to commit to playing with the Steamboat Wranglers this season. Jordan is from Strasburg, Colorado but was born in Red Deer, Alberta. He started playing hockey at five years old and switched to being a goaltender at 10.
Last season, Jordan played for Pursuit of Excellence U16 in Kelowna, British Columbia where the team placed 2nd overall in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League. He had a save percentage of 0.940 and a goal against average of 1.94 and accumulated six shut outs over the year. Before that, Jordan played for the Foothills Hockey Association Midget Minor AA team, where the team was undefeated, state champs, and finished third at Nationals.
Jordan remembers playing tournaments in Steamboat Springs when younger, and snowmobiling here. He’s looking forward to playing for the Wranglers, with a goal of playing NCAA Div.1 Hockey.
