WSHL November Games To Watch

by Charles Woodall-Pike

October is complete and the Mountain Division is shaping up to be a four-team race to the top. The WSHL season now rolls into November, which brings some interesting matchups inside this division. Here is a look at some important games to keep an eye on this month featuring Mountain Division teams.

Nov. 11 – Colorado at Superior

Veteran’s Day brings a clash between the two Colorado-based teams as the Eagles and RoughRigers meet for the first time this season. Both squads are near the top of the standings entering November, with Colorado tied for first and Superior just four points behind. The teams will see each other two more times, both in Superior, before the Western States Shootout.

Nov. 17-19 – El Paso at Colorado

After their in-state showdown with Superior, Colorado returns home to Fort Collins for a three game set against the El Paso Rhinos. The Rhinos come into November as one of four undefeated teams remaining (Long Beach, Oklahoma City, Idaho). This will be a big test for the Eagles, who have suffered all of their losses so far this season at home (5-3-2 at NoCo Ice Center).

Nov. 25 – Utah at Ogden

The Utah Outliers and Ogden Mustangs meet for the fifth time this season over Thanksgiving weekend in Ogden. While Ogden has been rolling to start this season, they have had problems with their in-state rival. The Outliers are responsible for two of the Mustangs’ four losses entering this month, including Ogden’s only loss at home.
